we had the most horrible evening tonight for our 41st anniversay., We could have gone "ANYWHERE" and we choose you...we waited 45 minutes "after" ordering our meal. Seven couples came in after us...they were served, ate and left, we still had no food...no drinks... and the waiter kept saying, "not my fault" you ordered stuff takes longer....steamed oysters and gumbo!!!!please....Well, thank you for ruining what should have been a wonderful dining experience....never again...too many other nice places to go that actually care about their patrons......good night

Horrible service ruined my parents' 41st anniversary dinner

Posted by emaleth72 on 1/25/2008

My parents are quite frequent diners at Tony's, so it was not a surprise that they chose to go there for their 41st anniversary dinner tonight. The restaurant doesn't take reservations for groups under four, so they had to wait about 30 minutes..which was not a problem. However, once they were seated and had ordered, they seemed to have been forgotten about. After waiting 15, 30, 45 minutes they flagged down the waiter and were given some lame excuse and basically blown off being told the food would get there when it got there. Meanwhile, several other couples had been seated and had been served their food. Finally, after having been seated and waiting for an hour, they got up to leave. They asked for a manager, who came out and proceeded to treat them much as the waiter had...blowing them off, even after being told it was their anniversary dinner. Needless to say, they won't be going back...nor will my family be going there at any time. Someone needs to sign their employees up for customer service classes.

"Red Beans and Rice" - NOT

Posted by nocajun on 5/8/2007

I have only been to Tony's once and once was enough. Being from New Orleans I ordered the Red Beans and Rice to see if they lived up to New Orleans. What I received was some rice with what looked like a can of Bush's dark kidney beans had been poured over them and maybe some sausage. A can of Van Camp's kidney beans would have been better. These don't even come close to what good Red Beans and Rice should be so don't waste your money on them and please do not think thiese represent New Orleans in anyway. Try Louise's in Clayton. This i primary a carry out but does have some tables outside. Try it just for comparison if you are thinking about Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, Etoufette, Poboys, etc.

Horrible waitress

Posted by bigcatuser on 3/23/2007

I would never recommend this place to a friend. I had such a bad experience. I can say that the bartender who was petite with brown hair was great. She was friendly and really on the ball. However someone in the wait staff should not even be working there. She yelled at my friends and I to MOVE so she could get by us. No excuse me or anything.......she was just plain rude with yelling at us. Then when she came back around where we were standing she pushed into me on purpose and did it three times!!....trying to start a fight?? I asked to speak to a manger but the waitress I spoke to never came back with anyone. Another customer saw it and was just as upset as I was by witnessing the whole thing. I paid for my drinks and we left. She should not be waiting on people. She is a miserable person. She had blond hair in a pony tail.
